Protect yourself and the display
- Stop immediately if you feel discomfort.
- Never press, tap hard, rub, or massage a pixel.
- Use comfortable brightness and take breaks.
- Do not leave bright static test screens unattended, especially on OLED.
- Prefer the device manufacturer’s built-in maintenance or display test.
Check returns and warranty first
If the device is new, document the issue and check the retailer return window before trying pixel-fixing software. Manufacturer guidance can differ by model, region, and defect type.
Why the animation is limited
W3C guidance treats flashing as a real accessibility risk. The changing colors stay in a small area, begin only after you opt in, stop on a timer, and can be paused immediately. That reduces risk; it does not make animated colors universally safe.
