Use a lint-free cloth and remove obvious glare. Never press or massage the screen.

Phone and tablet edges
Inspect behind as much browser chrome as your device allows.
The test asks for browser fullscreen when that feature is available. Android phones and iPads can usually enter it from your tap. A normal iPhone Safari tab cannot reliably hide its browser bars.
Best iPhone setup
- In Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Open StuckPixelFix from the new Home Screen icon.
- Run the color test, hide its controls, then rotate the phone and repeat.
The status area, camera cutout, Dynamic Island, or Home indicator can still cover a narrow part of the physical display. Rotating lets you inspect the opposite edge.
Change colors manually.
Black reveals bright points. White reveals dark points. Red, green, and blue help show whether one color component of the pixel is affected.
Use the display’s own test.
Use the display’s built-in test to check whether the problem is in the screen itself.
